The following organizations provide support to people living with the effects of brain injury in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

The first step to access these services, with the exception of the Brain Injury Society of Toronto (BIST), is to fill an application with the Toronto ABI Network, the ABI Navigator for the region.

Brain Injury Support Organizations in Toronto  

Toronto ABI Network

The ABI Navigator for the GTA. Provides information about and coordinates referrals to brain injury services in Toronto and the GTA.

Community Head Injury Resource Services (CHIRS)

CHIRS is a multi-service agency that provides a broad range of supports to a clientele with diverse and complex needs, including residential and supported living, day and community programs.

COTA Health

COTA Health programs provide support to adults living with serious mental illness, geriatric mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, developmental disabilities and dual diagnosis.  Services include case management, supportive housing, short-term residential beds, a day program, court and justice related services and outreach to individuals who are homeless or living in shelters.

March of Dimes Canada

March of Dimes ABI Services include rehabilitation, attendant care, peer support groups and supportive housing programs.

PACE Independent Living

PACE offers short and long term community based support services to individuals living with the effects of brain injury.  

Brain Injury Support Organizations in the Greater Toronto Area

Peel Halton Dufferin Acquired Brain Injury Services  

Provides case management, clinical services, day programs, and residential and supported-living programs.

York-Simcoe Brain Injury Services 

A joint organization with Mackenzie Health/March of Dimes, York-Simcoe Brain Injury Services provides case coordination, functional assessments, individualized rehab plans and community support to assist with community reintegration.

York Region ABI Adult Day Program

Part of Mackenzie Health, the program provides physical health programming, cognitive activities and social programming.
